Anne Sajdera Quintet
The Anne Sajdera Quintet explores the textures and colors of contemporary American and Brazilian jazz. Sajdera' arrangements of compositions by Herbie Hancock, Stefon Harris, Duke Ellington, Egberto Gismonti, Chico Pinheiro (as well as originals) take listeners on a thoroughly emotional, rhythmic and dynamic journey.

Pianist/composer Anne Sajdera has long been an invaluable part of the San Francisco Bay Area music sceneas leader of her own trio and performing with artists such as Alexa Weber Morales, Terrence Brewer and Sandy Cressman. Her outstanding debut Azul (JAZZIZ Magazine 2012 Top Ten Critic's Poll, Latin Jazz Corner's Great Latin Jazz Albums from 2012, number 5 for best new talent 2012 Jazz Station blog) was released by her label, Bijuri Records. Co-produced by Ray Obiedo and including special guest percussionist Airto Moreira, the recording highlights her exquisite touch, rhythmic acuity, and melodic resourcefulness.
