Having suffered a massive stroke, Emily Stilson, a retired stunt pilot, enters a realm of confusion, trying to cope with her inability to do the simplest things. With the help of her caring therapist, she must not only learn to use her body again, but also deal with the memories that fly through her mind. Caroline, so sick she has been homebound for months, receives a surprise visit from classmate Anthony, who reveals that they must complete a poetry project for English class using Walt Whitman's Leaves of Grass. Through the words of a classic piece of literature, the two discover much about each other, realizing that they are more connected than they thought. Gunderson explores the mysteries of life and love in a way that will leave you reeling at the end!

24-hour Playwriting Project Dec 3 at 8pm Playwrights will bring their sleeping bags and coffee mugs to Lab Theater, where they will be assigned a theme, a director, and actors. Within just twenty-four hours, you will see the fruits of their labor when we stage all of the 15-minute one-act plays! Judged by a panel of area theater and arts professionals. A hugely popular event!
