An Evening With Molly Ringwald
Join Molly Ringwald and her jazz band for a night of crowd-pleasing entertainment. Melding traditional jazz with hits from the Great American Songbook, Ringwald performs a unique show with beautiful, unexpected musical connections.
Molly Ringwald, while known for her iconic performances in THE BREAKFAST CLUB and SIXTEEN CANDLES has always had music in her heart. Molly has been singing since she was a little girl with father, Jazz pianist Robert Scott "Bob" Ringwald. She recorded an album with him while she was only six years old.
In early 2013, Ringwald released Except Sometimes, a jazz record. It follows a tradition in jazz for the Ringwald family set by her father. "I grew up in a home filled with music and had an early appreciation of jazz since my dad was a jazz musician. Beginning at around age three I started singing with his band and jazz music has continued to be one of my three passions along with acting and writing. I like to say jazz music is my musical equivalent of comfort food. It's always where I go back to when I want to feel grounded".
Molly has been touring the country with her jazz trio including a recent extended run at Birdland in NYC.
Along with her many film roles Molly has appeared many times on Broadway including starring in Cabaret as Sally Bowles.
