The Journal
Their love was _______. ______ kept them apart, but in the end, _______ prevailed.
Seattle Experimental Theater is proud to present the return of The Journal, an improvised romantic parody of the works of Nicholas Sparks (Writer of The Notebook, Dear John, The Lucky One). Each performance features an original, unscripted story about small-town lovers who must confront unsupportive friends, learn the true meaning of love and, perhaps, kiss in the rain.
The cast will create a different romantic story every night, based on audience suggestions. Will our lovers stay together or break up? The audience decides. Perfect for date nights, a ladies' night out, bachelor/ette parties, or just indulging your inner romantic.
The Journal is created by Jeannine Clarke and Samantha Hecker and debuted in Seattle in 2012. Directed by Jeannine Clarke. Featuring a talented cast of professional improvisors (and many SET veterans): Cheryl Platz, Marc Guy, Wayne Pishue, Lauren Bond, and Aditya Sriram.
PERFORMANCES: Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 8PM July 14, 15, 16, 21, 22 & 23 at the Ballard Underground
