Miss Quincy & The Showdown Single & Video Release With Liz Stringer "All The Bridges" Tour and Guest Hollow Twin @ the WISE HALL, July 20, 2016.
After spending the winter in Toronto, Los Angeles and Melbourne, Vancouver band Miss Quincy & The Showdown are back home and ready to showcase new songs and sounds in a festival packed summer. But first theyll be celebrating the launch of their brand new single and music video Remind Me of Myself at the WISE Hall in East Vancouver on Wednesay, July 20th. The single brings Quincys writing to the forefront and showcases her powerhouse vocals that sit comfortably in the timeless space between vintage soul and cutting edge pop hooks. The premiere of the film clip, shot in LA and hosting a cast of colourful Venice Beach characters, is a milestone for the band as they took total creative control and a DIY approach creating the video from start to finish on their own. They will definitely be celebrating with popcorn.
Joining Miss Quincy & The Showdown will be Liz Stringer from Melbourne, Australia. Having crossed paths on both sides of the world, shared shows and shared bands, Quincy is happy to be hosting Liz in her hometown as she releases her groundbreaking new album to Canadian audiences.

Liz Stringers powerful and emotive live performances and melodically rich, story-based songs have earned her a place among Australias most respected songwriters and performers. This May, Stringer will release her 5th studio album "All The Bridges". The 10 track were recorded over two weeks in Portland Oregon before she embarked on her first Canadian tour. Liz featured at Robson Valley Music Festival, Music On The Mountain and supported the likes of Ron Hawkins.
Liz has toured and supported with the likes of Ron Sexsmith, The East Pointers, The Waifs, Mia Dyson, Joe Henry, Jordie Lane, Ember Swift.

With Guest Hollow Twin
Emmalee's deep sultry voice and vintage guitar tones paired with Becky's soulful vocals and seemingly endless lyrics drove the beginning of this duo's collaboration. The band quickly began to move forward with great momentum. After showcasing at CMW in 2014, playing a variety of venues, opening for names like St. John's Repartee, The Darcy's and The Lion The Bear The Fox, Hollow Twin began to make its mark in a big way. They worked with Winston Hauschild (Hannah Georgas, Wanting Qu) on their most recent album as Hollow Twin. A full sound, heavy like September rain with layered vocal harmonies reminiscent of the sweet smell of sunbaked grass and the wildflower crowns they surely wore in their past lives together. Their album Keepers was released on April 26, 2015. Most Recently, the band has been working with producer/songwriter Nygel Asselin (Cairo, Half Moon Run) on new tracks for 2016.
