Caroline (so sick she has been homebound for months) receives a surprise visit from classmate Anthony, who reveals that they must complete a poetry project for English class using Walt Whitman's Leaves of Grass. Through the words of a classic piece of literature, the two discover much about each other, realizing that they are more connected than they thought. Gunderson explores the mysteries of life and love in a way that will leave you reeling at the end!
