"And The Spirit Moved Me" presented by Kristina Isabelle Dance Company + "Finding Pancho" by Juan Villa
June 4 & 5 at 7:30PM Loyola Universitys Mundelein Center 1020 W. Sheridan Rd.
Kristina Isabelle Dance will premiere "And The Spirit Moved Me", an evening length stilt-dance work. And The Spirit Moved Me takes us on a provocative journey through the body landscape to discover and reveal the natural and spiritual world within. Originally inspired by modern dance master Sybil Shearer and her quest for spirituality through movement. Isabelle continues the search by moving through nature to expand our physical form. This work will feature Isabelles signature stilt dance as well as moving video by Octane Rich Media and a sonic sound score by Stephen Ptacek. A surreal exhibition of the layers of our search for enlightenment.
"Finding Pancho" by Juan Villa details a sons search for his father, Francisco Jose Villa, who had been missing in Colombia for almost two years. After 26 years of living in the United States, Juan realizes in order to reunite with his family, he will have to return to his homeland and face the ghosts of his past.
