Tommy Halloran's Guerrilla Swing at The Focal Point
Tommy Halloran's Guerrilla Swing plays in the gaps between styles. Elements of jazz, blues, latin, and rock 'n roll stream through original compositions, drawing comparisons to Randy Newman, Tom Waits, and Antonio Carlos Jobim. With a scream and a whisper raspy-voiced Halloran leads his band of virtuosos through hairpin turns and sudden improvisational leaps that leave audiences gasping. In 2014 & 2015 the Riverfront Times voted Guerrilla Swing 'Best Jazz Band' in St. Louis, and in 2014 named them the 'Best Band' in St. Louis.
