Songwriters on Stage - Season Finale
Each month, the Maine Songwriter's Association presents Songwriters on Stage, a showcase of some of the best songwriters Maine has to offer. The show features three seasoned performers and an emerging songwriter to kick the evening off. It's an opportunity for listeners to discover new music or come hear local favorites in one of the best listening rooms in Maine. The April concert features Ted DeMille, Dave Provost, Doug Kolmar, and Neil Fishman.
Ted DeMille writes with authority and performs with an accessible, understated passion. His music is decidedly left-handed and draws influence from Chuck Berry, Bob Dylan, Greg Brown, and Bill Monroe. Teds songs are instantly memorable and equally comfortable in a waxed New England hall, a Bluegrass Festival, a church basement, or the intimate confines of a cozy listening room. He sings songs worth hearing.
Dave Provost is a talented singer-songwriter currently based in Providence, Rhode Island. Well-traveled (California, Nantucket) his songs are seasoned and unforgettable. Dave can shrink a room with his warm and powerful vocals and his engaging guitar style. His second time at the Frontier promised to be a wonderful show.
Former garage-band guitarist and classically-trained composer, Doug Kolmar moved to Maine from the New York City Area in 2002. After landing in Portland, he soon became a regular part of the fertile Portland acoustic music scene. With several albums to his credit, Doug will grace the stage with his mellow and introspective songs.
Neil Fishman will open the show.
All tickets sales are final. No refunds will be given.
