A/V Geeks presents CHILDHOOD NIGHTMARE FODDER
Skip Elsheimer, the Cinema's favorite A/V Geek, returns to Huntington with another collection of entertaining and creepy films that warped the minds of impressionable children during the golden age of educational filmmaking
Members $9 / Public $14 Tickets also available by calling 800-838-3006, or at the CAC Box Office
Join the A/V Geeks for an evening of 16mm films that have troubled an entire generation of kids. Some of these films were too effective in scaring kids and scarring their psyches, others unintentionally creeped kids out and finally, some were never meant to be shown to kids at all.. Come watch these great films and totally creep out your inner child. Films include Dead is Dead, Cipher in the Snow, Safe Play Danger Places, Toothache of a Clown and more!
Skip Elsheimer founded and maintains the A/V Geeks Educational Film Archive of more than 24,000 educational and industrial 16mm films. He curates film programs at such venues at the Museum of the Moving Image, Coolidge Corner Theatre (Brookline, Mass), Anthology Film Archives, Aurora Picture Show (Houston), and Chicago Filmmakers. Skip has published over 100 different DVD compilations and contributed to the book Learning with the Lights Off (Oxford University Press).
