Emerging from the ridge line of the Dishman Hills, the Rocks of Sharon are a group of large granite monoliths known for providing stunning views of the Palouse, which you can take in after climbing to the top. This leisurely spring hike will be a five mile hike, while the fall excursion will be a little less than three miles. Join us for both the spring and fall hikes as we explore this memorable landscape and the surrounding area, including features like Big Rock, a 230-foot granite pillar which towers above the trail, and the local wildlife. Dont be surprised if you see the occasional moose while exploring in this area!
The hikes will both culminate at the base of the rocks, providing views of the Palouse and Mt. Spokane. With such iconic and beautiful spots within sight, you will want to be sure to bring a camera with you to capture the views for memory.
Though the trail is well maintained, this is a moderately strenuous hike. Good footwear and weather-appropriate clothing are essential. If you are accompanied by your pet, please bring water for them as well as for yourself.
