Plot Summary (a poignant comedy:):

Summer is almost over when blue collar social worker Devon visits her sister Simone at the wealthy estate where she works in Martha's Vineyard. Simone is the personal assistant to the wife of a billionaire. The owners are supposed to be away, but trouble ensues when the trophy wife Michaela unexpectedly returns. The story plays out in the luxurious guest house of the estate and includes an eccentric boyfriend and a put upon servant. Unexpected depths of character emerge as wise cracking Devon, ambitious aspiring author Simone, and universally despised Michaela interact with alternately comic and touching effect!

Elemeno Pea (our premiere play) is a beautiful piece first produced at the Actors Theatre of Louisville for the 2011 Humana Festival, and written by the incomparable Molly Smith Metzler.  It has been produced all over the United States.  The Colorado premiere of Elemeno Pea is playing mid May through early June at the Voodoo Comedy Club in Denver, CO.

The Misfits Theater Company was created as an inclusive, alternative to more traditional theater: combining artists from all over the United States, we are creating work for all those who have ever felt on the fringe, misunderstood, or like their light just shines a little too bright.  Our mission is to include all those who have sought a community filled with strength and beauty, and a for those who possess a creative drive that fills their souls.  The Misfits' mission is to create bold, edgy work reflective of our community.
