Brundibar- Temple Israel Performance
Orchestra Miami presents performances of a very special composition. Brundibár, an opera for children, premiered during World War II and became both a symbol of hope and resistance and a Nazi propaganda tool. It was performed 55 times in the Theresienstadt concentration camp, and used as propaganda by the Nazis to show how well the prisoners were being treated in the camp. A classic story of good versus evil, this beautiful piece is a symbol of hope and the triumph of the human spirit. Performed by students from the Miami Art Studio at Zelda Glazer K-8, and Orchestra Miami, conducted by Elaine Rinaldi.
