Symphony in the Gardens
Please come to "Symphony in the Gardens". Lake Washington Symphony's Annual Tour of Eastside Gardens from 11 a.m.- 3 p.m. on Sunday, June 26th. Youre in for a real treat! Live chamber music will be played in each of three beautiful private gardens:
Two gardens are in Bellevue and are designed by Landscape Architect Dan Borroff. Both have views of the Cascade Mountains. One beautifully evokes India. It includes a Sanskrit Peace Path, a graceful imported pavilion, a tiny meditation house, a blue stone fountain, and has a lush meandering hill climb (wear practical shoes)! The second garden has sunny and shady nooks-and-crannies where music will sing out, and has unusual plants, such as a cutleaf vine maple, Acer Circinatum 'Monroe, a fragrant mint bush, Prostanthera Cuneata and Pink Pagoda Mountain Ash, Sorbus Hupehensis. The third garden is in Issaquah and was designed by Landscape Architect Darwin Webb. It is a large English Garden with an herb bed, knot patch, fruit and nut trees, a sunken garden, and fountain among its many enticing features.
At the end of the tour, extend your fresh air time with refreshments, more music and a glass of wine in the Bellevue Botanical Garden. It is a large beautiful public garden where you might even spot a quail!
Let us surprise you and thank our wonderful hosts with melody and harmony by wind, string and maybe even percussion instruments!
