One on one with the award-winning DANIEL BROOKS: director, actor and playwright with a reputation for creating and directing cutting edge productions which combine fiercely intellectual content with theatrical innovation. As a director, he more often than not takes a role in the creation or dramaturgy of the piece.
As a writer, director and performer, Daniel Brooks has collaborated with a wide range of artists. His many works include a series of monologues created with Daniel MacIvor, multi-media work with Rick Miller, direction of work by John Mighton, Beckett, Sophocles, Mamet and Goethe, the musical Drowsy Chaperone, and many creations including Insomnia, The Eco Show, The Good Life, Bigger Than Jesus, Pokey Jones, Divisadero and a series of plays created with Don McKellar and Tracy Wright (The Augusta Company). He was co-artistic director of The Augusta Company, Artistic Director of Necessary Angel from 2003-2012, and is currently an associate artist at Soulpepper, where he teaches. His many awards include the Siminovitch Prize. His work has toured across Canada and around the world. His latest collaboration with Daniel McIver is the new solo show, "Who Killed Spalding Grey".
Facilitator: TRACEY ERIN SMITH is an award winning performer, writer and teacher who believes in crazy-wisdom and practices reverent irreverence. Smith is the founder of the award-winning SOULO Theatre Company (Best Small Theatre, NOW Magazine 2014) the Artistic Director of Toronto's SOULO Theatre Festival, SOULO NYC and the Co-Founder of the Totnes SOULO Theatre Festival in England. Smith recently won a Broadway World Toronto Award for her latest solo show, "Memento Mori". Her plays have been Critic's Pick in BackStage Magazine NYC, and a two time winners of 'Best of the Toronto Fringe Festival' and the 'Audience Choice Award' in New York City's Frigid Festival. Smith presents SOULO Theatre Workshops internationally.

+ All shows begin on time. + There are NO latecomers, NO refunds, NO exceptions, but we are happy to exchange your tickets to another event (pending availability) if you are late to your show! Please double check your event's start time/location and arrive early to avoid disappointment. + Walk-up tickets will go on sale ONE HOUR before the event, cash only. + If an event has sold out online, come on down to the theatre and see if we have any walk-up tickets available! + Advance ticket sales end at 12pm the day of the event. If online sales have ended, we strongly encourage you to visit the theatre in person!
