THE HIGHLAND TENORS
Cape Breton's own Paul Gatchell, Johnathan MacInnis & Robyn Cathcart have merged their talents to proudly produce "The Highland Tenors", a newly formed vocal trio.
These three dynamic, engaging and celebrated artists have shared the stage previously in concert work, and are now poised to make their "trio" debut for a series of events around Cape Breton this summer, highlighted by two performances on June 4th & 5th, 2016, at the Highland Arts Theatre in Sydney.
Paul Gatchell has performed leading roles in major theatres across Canada and the US including both the Stratford and Shaw Festivals and a successful run on Broadway in an award winning production of "The Mikado". He is perhaps best known for his portrayal of the Phantom in Andrew Lloyd Webber's "Phantom of the Opera" which he played over 600 times.
Johnathan MacInnis has performed shows in New York, Orlando, Toronto, Montreal, Halifax and all over the Maritimes throughout his short 7-year career. Having released four studio albums, MacInnis is best known for his charismatic stage presence and powerhouse vocals.
Robyn Cathcart is a tenor, director and voice teacher whose multi-faceted and eclectic career spans the worlds of opera, musical theatre, jazz, pop, concert performance, commercial performance and recording. With over 190 productions, concerts and recital appearances to his credit, he currently serves as Stage Director at the historic Savoy Theatre in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia. He is also the Founding Artistic Director of Enter Left Productions.
