Homebrewing for Beginners--Father's Day
The class is on a Sunday, beginning at 4 PM. Attendees will learn the critical part of boiling, adding hops, chilling, sanitizing, and pitching yeast.
The class will also learn how to bottle a 5 gallon batch of beer (sugar and yeast dosing, sanitizing bottles, crimping crowns, and bottle conditioning). Each participant takes home beers for bottle conditioning at home. Students take home a detailed 2-page outline, and will be confident to begin brewing at home.
We'll also sample beers brewed by previous classes from our kits, and we'll discuss beer styles while we brew and bottle.
The $50 cost of the 3-Hour class entitles students to a $10 discount on equipment purchase at the end of the class (normally $80).
The instructor has experience in a commercial brewery as well as homebrewing, is a beer judge, and owner/manager of a homebrew supply shop. She has taught this class over forty times, in the past four years--and you will learn some pro-tips!
