Moira Lo Bianco has used her impressive classical training as a vehicle for building a new kind of musical expression she is a piano explorer, an inventor and a joyful and exciting improviser. The concert will draw on Moiras diverse musical inspirations, including original compositions influenced by classical, jazz and middle-eastern styles and a selection of compositions from European classical repertoire re-arranged, including improvisation.

Knowing about the dilemma, many classical pianists face when it comes to improvisation, Lo Bianco has founded the workshop series Classical Chords, teaching improvisation for classical pianists.

That workshop named Classical Chords goes hand in hand with her embracing new performance practices of classical music in unconventional venues and to help the next generation of listeners and performers to understand and appreciate classical music, and its influence on the music that came afterwards.
