Marquise Productions presents YOL, a new kind of circus!
YOL (which means "road" or "way" in Turkish) is a story told through a mix between a new form of circus and theater. It is the story of one man on a journey in search for the meaning of the past he has left behind. Traveling along a road in a foreign land, amazed by the unfamiliar characters he meets along the way, he undergoes his own evolution as both storyteller and observer. It explores what our beliefs say about us in a time when beliefs are often questioned. Marquise Productions is an exciting new young circus, theater production company based in Troy, NY and founded by Aaron Marquise, a graduate of Ecole Nationale de Cirque, Montreal.
PS21 is delighted to be hosting The Marquise Productions company in a residency to develop new work from May 23 through June 25. Watch for announcements of an open rehearsal to be held during the residency!
