FEATURING IN NO PARTICULAR ORDER:
Chelsea Rae - http://www.facebook.com/ChelseaRaePhillips
Chelsea Rae is a singer songwriter from Wilmington Delaware who has been singing and writing her own songs for almost 11 years. She has a unique sense of style and a message to get out to the world. We first heard her solo at Gable's open mic night on Thursdays at Extreme Pizza and booked her for this on the spot. She's amazing!
The Imperial Stormlooper - http://soundcloud.com/imperial-stormlooper Also known as Dave Swanson, this New York bassist is currently playing for Universal Funk Order. He is performing his beats/minisongs he makes for fun, using a loop station, bass, voice and beatboxing, and a bunch of different effects. Dave brought this stuff out in the middle of one of our Kooma Universal Funk Order shows and floored us.. don't miss it.
Rodger Delany - http://rodgerdelany.com/ Rodger Delany is a singer, songwriter and guitarist from Maple Shade, NJ. He is described as "Father, friend, recovering electric guitarist..." And, his music "Crosses genres from rock to folk and Americana..." Rodger Delany was lead guitarist and secondary singer/songwriter for Mother Redcap who released two full rock CD's All This Nothing (2009) and Up to Now (2000). Rodger was highly recommended to us by several past performers of our The 6 series. We are very much looking forward to his set.
Charles Barber - http://youtu.be/2Y3BLEvwWrM Charles is a recent graduate of Concord High School, in fact he graduated last week. McKinley short brought his music to our attention and asked us to come out to an open mic night at World Cafe Live to see him perform. We attempted to book him on the spot but have had to wait patiently for him to graduate. The level of talent this young performer has is out of this World.
Molly Dorsman (MODO) - http://www.mollydorsman.com/ This New York City based artist was born and raised in the humble town of Elkton, Maryland. Molly spent much of her youth studying piano and singing anywhere and everywhere she could. Many local events, including national anthems for the Baltimore Orioles, the Little League World series, and a resident "Aberdeen Idol" gave her a name in the small region she represented. Wanting to learn more about music and everything in general , she went on to study at Berklee College of Music in Boston. After graduating from Berklee in May 2008, she continued performing with a country band before landing a gig which took her around the world, performing from Eastern Europe to the Caribbean Islands.
Jenny Leigh - http://www.jennyleighmusic.com/blog/ Jenny Leigh is a Baltimore based singer songwriter with her own band, The Jenny Leigh band, and is currently one of the female vocalists of Old Man Brown. She will be accompanied by Adam Scott-Wakefield (Old Man Brown himself) on guitar. Jenny Leigh's sound is an electric combination of the singer's city girl lifestyle and country girl background, and her songs are fused with hints of soul and pop. Inspired by relationships, ups and downs, and lessons learned along the way, her original heart-felt lyrics paired with her unforgettable voice ring clear and true.
