We are so excited to host one of our most favorite people to conduct the best wine and food pairing workshop Muss, Turner or Hall have ever attended. We will be hosting Trish Rogers of R. Stuart Winery. Trish, who splits her time between the winery in Oregon and her home in Ireland, will be teaching Zing: Food and Wine Togetherness. We had her conduct this workshop for our staff last fall and they are still talking about it. We could not wait to have her back and share this experience with our guests.
Trish is our favorite fiery and fun Irish lass. She is a hoot. At one time, she managed restaurants and sold a lot of wine in them. She became increasingly frustrated by the dearth of clear food and wine training materials available to her and her staff.so began ZiNG! With a background in Chemistry (University College Dublin, U of I, DKIT), a passion for Indian food and 20 years of wine sales, the picture of food and wine togetherness began to form. Currently a partner at the R. Stuart Winery in Oregon (makers of Big Fire our staffs favorite Pinot Gris!), she, with assistance from the Drs Hurley (two biochemists and ZiNG! groupies) put together simply the best food and wine pairing seminar out there
So, what is ZiNG!?
In Trish's words...
ZiNG! is togetherness. Food and wine kind of togetherness that is, using a method to get there that we call ZiNG! The name refers to that spark, that pizzazz that happens when two things unite and are just way better together than alone.
ZiNG! is based on chemistry irrefutable, unbiased, chemistry. We've done the homework already, so don't worry. We will show it to you in a simple and fun (even funny sometimes) format that is dead easy to follow. At the end of the day, what you like to eat and drink together is totally up to you, of course, as an individual. It has become kind of trendy to say it doesn't matter what food and wine you pair up, that its all fine together and if thats how you feel, go for it! But what if we told you, and showed you, that everything could be better, all the time? It can, and it is EASY. No more worries, no more embarrassing moments. Some rules, as they say (especially those of thumb) are made to be broken, and that is where ZiNG! comes in.
