JAKE ETHERIDGE with special guest SYDNEY RHAME in concert
Rising young singer/songwriters in a special performance by the lake at Cochran Mill Nature Center.
First and foremost, Jake Etheridge is a writer. Obsessive about seeking out truth, Jake's songs explore the depths of his own heart, and display an honest window into his motivations, victories and self-inflicted downfalls. Jake elicits a picture in the listeners mind and accomplishes what many folk singers strive toward: He tells a story. Sometimes Jake's songs can be sweet, sometimes gritty; but always real.
Jake is a member of the Dutch/American band The Common Linnets who's debut album went Triple Platinum in Holland and Gold in Germany and Austria. The album went on to reach #5 in the world.
I grew up in South Carolina in my family of musicians and now live in Nashville.
I love good stories. I couldnt take a nap during the day if I tried. I think its best when driving back home to drive all night. Every now and again I cant sleep until I write down and sing to whats keeping me awake. These are those thoughts and stories. I hope very much that you like them.

At 17 years old, singer-songwriter Sydney Rhame has already spent over half her life writing songs and performing before more than 250 audiences across the country. She is an accomplished guitarist/pianist and has sold out headlining shows as well as shared the stage with many well-known national touring acts.
A prolific songwriter in the acoustic pop-rock genre, Sydneys body of work includes more than 150 original songs thus far. All ages young and old can relate to her songwriting and she is never afraid to bare her unique soul to her audience. Her mature, insightful lyrics coupled with her strong, soulful voice have garnered her much media attention as well as numerous national and regional awards. She was recently a member of Team Pharrell on Season 9 of the hit NBC show The Voice, where she made quite an impact and garnered new fans all over the world. She is currently in the studio working on her fourth CD and is looking forward to graduating from high school this year.
