Join the Mercer Island Farmers Market team for an evening of celebration for the start of the 2016 season! Help us make this season the best one yet by helping sustain this valuable asset that supports and connects producers with our Island community.
Pre-party, 5-6pm: This year, why not join us at an optional pre-party event featuring special food and beverage tastings between 5 and 6pm? Join us in the Aljoya Conference Center for Chef Demonstrations with beverage pairings and enjoy a Howling Timber Mule featuring market vendors 3 Howls Distillery (new this year!) and Timber City Ginger Beer! Only a limited number of tickets on sale.
Dinner + Program, 6-8pm: Enter through the Aljoya garden to the jazz tunes of Michael Biller and enjoy appetizers and two complimentary beverages. Dine on a buffet featuring local seasonal options prepared by Aljoya Chef Jonathon Tiller with a dessert course served with coffee and tea. Additional beverages available by the glass or wine by the bottle (generously underwritten by Chateau Ste Michelle) may also be purchased. Cash purchases only please!
There will be a short program with a brief auction of few choice items and a chance for you to help fund our 2016 season! Make it YOUR market! We welcome program host Chef Kurt Beecher Dammeier and are excited to offer a Market themed auction:
Pasta preparation class and meal for six from Cucina Caruccio including a chef guided shopping tour of the Mercer Island Farmer Market
Paella dinner for ten featuring Mercer Island Farmer Market meats and veggies, and wine tasting of Castillo de Feliciana Spanish styled wines, from the Walla Walla valley.
Two tickets to the June 5, 2016 sold out show of Bob Dylan and His Band, with Special Guest Mavis Staples, at Chateau Ste Michelle Winery, plus $40 in Market Bucks for your picnic dinner, and a certificate for a Pairings Tour and Taste at the Winery.
New this year! Pre-arranged seating for dinner! And Limited Edition MI Farmers Market themed Downing Pottery mugs designed by Seattle artist, Sarah Woodson, as centerpieces, available for a donation of $50! Also special 2016 edition MI Farmers Market themed kitchen towels from Garbella Design, available for a donation of $15 each. Cash and checks greatly appreciated for your event purchases.
We encourage Dinner guests to arrive at 5:45pm to give ample time to check-in and enjoy the garden patio before dinner begins.

Please be sure to include names of guests who you would like to be seated with during check-out if tickets are bought separately as seating will be assigned. We will make every effort to accommodate seating requests as space allows.
Consider supporting MIFM even if you cannot attend the event by selecting the donation option on our ticketing list.

1. What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
Parking will be available in Aljoya's underground parking area and in the rear of the building area.
2. Is my registration/ticket transferable?
Yes, tickets are transferable. Please send us an email with your name and the name of the guest you would like to transfer tickets to.
3. Do I have to bring a printed ticket to the event?
No, you will have the option to choose will-call when checking out. Tickets purchased online will be subject to an additional processing fee.
4. Where can I contact the event organizer with any questions?

5. The name on the registration/ticket doesn't match the attendee. Is that okay?
There will be no problem with transferring your ticket to a friend. We will need to take the time to update our files when you come to guest check-in.
