About CHAI Collaborative Ensemble
Formed in 2015, CHAI Collaborative Ensemble is a collective of Chicago area performers - instrumentalists, singers, and composers - dedicated to insightful and incisive performances of mixed chamber music in its varying forms. The group aims to foster dialogue and break down preconceived barriers between artists, audiences, and the communities through the music it performs. In addition to performing chamber works together, the artists associated with the group regularly perform with esteemed orchestras in Chicago and across the country. 2015-2016 season highlights included performances of major works by Persichetti, Martinu, Stravinsky, Schubert, Messiaen, and Hindemith.
