A team of three accomplished female artists (Emily Lau, Lizz Windnagel, and Chienhwe Carol Hong) take matters into their own hands by producing, choreographing, composing, performing, and directing this 3-act performance about womanhood and the feminine experience.
This performance combines virtuosic contemporary and medieval singing, dance, stage craft, structured improvisation, and the power of the female body. They will examine their own fears, challenges, and privileges in this personal, sensual, and subversive performance. This first show is informed by writing of Alice Walker, Malala Yousafzrai; 15th-century Italian painter Botticelli's famous painting, Primavera; music of David Lang and Julia Wolfe, and more.
