Taking inspiration from the television show Drunk History, a group of improv artists perform scenes from queer history based on stories told to them by an inebriated historian. Our first show left our audience laughing with gems like "Okay, people! Operation Gay Agenda is a go!" and selections from Lavender Panic: the Musical by our improv artists. We don't know what you'll learn at this show, but we know it will be good.
This show is a fundraiser for Gadfly Theatre Productions, a queer and feminist theatre company based in Minneapolis. Gadfly believes that marginalized voices should be heard, and is working to provide the space for that to happen. The performance space they are raising funds for will be an artistic haven for audiences and artists, a place to explore, create, and open safe dialogues about queer and feminist issues.
