Bombastic Comedy Variety Show featuring 90s-themed sketch comedy, music comedy, stand up comedy and a classic 90s anthem played live at the end of every show. The only Minneapolis comedy show that will make you feel like youve time-traveled to the set of All That.

Long blurb: The second Wednesday of every month, Amanda Costner, Philip Simondet and the 90s Sketch Comedy Crew put on a 90s themed Comedic Variety Show. You will hear sets from two different Stand Up Comedians as well as Original Comedic Songs. Mixed in the show are 90stastic sketches and 90s themed audience prize giveaways. Each show concludes with a 90s anthem song covered by the 90's Crew and a local musician or artist. Every month is a brand new show with different stand up comedians and musicians.

Host Amanda Costner
Amanda Costner is a comedic musician who hails from Claremore, Oklahoma and bases out of the Twin Cities, Amanda performs regularly in comedy clubs, bars and theaters throughout the Midwest. Her comedic songs range from acoustic pop ballads about being a gay preachers daughter, to soul-comedy pieces on the war of sexual frustration. Look out for her debut EP Chicago Coastin, which will drop in the Summer of 2016.

Stand Up Comedians:
Janna Raye Syverson -  Janna is a co-Producer of the female produced comedy showcase PSSYCTRL at the CCU. From Fargo, ND.

Jeff Pfoser - Jeff Pfoser owns two minivans, enjoys top-shelf root beer and prefers eating breakfast food for dinner. A charismatic family man whose stories take surprising twists and turns, Pfoser walks the likeable-vs.-offensive tightrope with true panache.

Music

Philip Simondet - 90's Shit and Music Comedy's Resident Musician Philip Simondet is a local comedian, improviser and guitarist, well known within the Minneapolis/St. Paul community. Philip can also be seen in The Local Music Scene, an improv and music show currently playing at Bryant Lake Bowl Theater.

Mama Caught Fire - Hailing from the icy riverbanks of Minneapolis/St. Paul, MAMA CAUGHT FIRE is an all-female trio whose music explores harmonic intricacy, lyrical emotion, and the power of voice. Band members Abigail Tuominen, Molly Sowash, and Julia Hobart met as students at Macalester College through an extra-curricular a cappella group. After discovering their mutual adoration of folk and blues music, the three embarked on their first musical project, calling themselves Chicory. Since its 2013 origin, the group has shifted its focus to creating and recording original work as MAMA CAUGHT FIRE. The band performs in coffee shops, bars and small venues around the Twin Cities.

90s Sketch Comedy Crew
Each week, the 90s Sketch Comedy Crew performs an entirely new set of 90s themed sketches. Featuring:

Writer/Actress Sarah Turner - Sarah Turner is a writer and performer based in St. Paul, MN. She has performed at Friday Night Stage Match, Minimum Fare, and most recently at Improv A-Go-Go and MONSTERS of Improv as 1/3 of the improv trio Contraband. She holds an MFA in creative writing from Hamline University and can be found blogging (mostly humor) at sarahinsmalldoses.wordpress.com.

Writer/Actor Adam Litz - Adam Litz has been an improvisational performer for the past 15 years. He has fond memories of organizing an overly aggressive school-wide write-in campaign on behalf of Ross Perot for the 1992 Weekly Reader Student Presidential Election Poll.

Writer/Actor Carl Olson - I took my first improv class in June of 1993 and have been in love with it ever since. I just finished a 4-year run with Stevie Ray's at the Chanhassen Dinner Theatre and perform regularly with the Peabody Players in the Northwest Suburbs.  I spend my days convincing the U.S. Government to give visas to doctors, scientists, engineers and other brilliant people.
