Shoot the Moon presents CAMEO directed by Joshua Moyse, a thriller inspired by the films of Alfred Hitchcock.
CAMEO is an original production inspired by the films of Alfred Hitchcock, the English director known for classic movie thrillers, including Rear Window, The Birds, Psycho, North By Northwest, and Vertigo. The plot is a whodunnit? revolving around a wife whose husband has gone missing. Then when he returns, she doesnt recognize him.
The talented cast is Xoe Perra, Skyler Heathwaite, Jennifer Moyse, Josh Goldstein, Terry Carter, Jon Mack, and John Ogorzalek. Alistair Follansbee is the Stage Manager. The production is designed by Colin Grube and Joshua Moyse.
The shows title comes from Hitchcocks penchant for inserting himself into a scene during many of his films. Hitchcocks cameos became a sort of Wheres Waldo? game for movie audiences. They actually became so popular, he grew concerned it would distract the audience from the plot. So Hitchcock began to insert himself as close to the beginning of his films as possible.
Shoot the Moon's first season as company-in-residence at Hooker-Dunham Theater & Gallery has been a success. CAMEO will be third show weve done in the space in the past seven months (DRACULA, and VENUS IN FUR).
Running time is a little under two hours, including an intermission.
Unfortunately, at this time Hooker-Dunham Theater is not handicap accessible.
