Women of the Hebrides
Women of the Hebrides: The Women of the Hebrides were famed for their, 'spinning and weaving of fine linen'. What is less well known are songs they sang whilst working. For generations women sang as they weaved and spun. The songs, as colourful and as rich as the garments they made, reveal the colourful and rich lives these women led. Caitlin Downie will celebrate their lives through song and story telling.
