ARTS ENCOUNTER, THE SLEEPING BEAUTY II, Ages 3-6
Ages 3-6
Monday to Thursday, from 10:00am 12:00 noon
Your young dancers will explore a different story ballet each week culminating in a Thursday family performance.
The children will use improvisation, basic movement concepts, folk dance, and classical ballet to recreate the story ballets. Your children will design and construct costumes, props, and scenery to enhance their production.
At snack time, well explore a different culture and era while we try foods from around the world.
Sleeping Beauty II, (The Spell, Vision, Wedding)
We open with Princess Auroras birthday party. Shes 16! Its a grand party and all her best friends are there. She dances with many princes. (Her mom hopes she will fall in love and marry.) None are quite right. Then she sees something shes never seen before - a spinning wheel...
But the Lilac Fairy has not forgotten her promise.
To the strains of Tchaikovsky, our dancers will put your mind at ease as they protect a princess, grow a forest, and make sure it all ends happily ever after.
