Powerful, sultry vocals tear at your chest while guitar riffs tower over you like a leather clad dominatrix... Salty tears stream down your cheeks in a pleasureful pain as the bass and drums lock in tight to move you, groove you, and wash over you in a hot sweaty bath of sweet, sweet, blues-rock soul... Sundries formed in the basement of lead singer Sadie Avas ramshackle house after a chance meeting at a Capitol Hill bagel shop. The band immediately began shaking Seattle and the West Coast with their mix of spazzy grooves and brooding soul-rock. The result is clattering art rock anchored by lead singer Sadie Avas rich, strange, soulful trill of a voice. Several years and and several moves around the country later, Sundries released their debut full length record, The Wave, in July of 2015. Recorded by Greg Merkel, the Wave is the culmination of the bands experiences and growth since their inception. Tracks like Pressure and Saturday Night are open-hearted punk anthems, while Sky to Change and Noose are prickling soul inflected rock n roll.
