Tracey Curtis-Taylor is a pilot with an inspired sense of adventure. She speaks with eloquence and humor on how she turned her passions for old airplanes and seeing the world into reality.
In 2013, Tracey flew her restored 1942 Boeing Stearman, "The Spirit of Artemis," from Cape Town to Goodwood, a tribute to Lady Heath, the first person to fly solo from the Cape to the UK in 1928.
Two years later, following the same route as aviator Amy Johnson, the first woman to fly solo from Great Britain to Australia in 1930, Tracey flew her open-cockpit biplane from Goodwood, UK to Sydney, Australia.
After this successful 13,000 mile, three-month journey, her airplane was disassembled and shipped to America and then reassembled at Historic Flight Foundation.
Beginning in May, Tracey will continue her flight around the world, following an historic Air Mail route across the U.S. to Boston.
To celebrate the incredible next step in this journey, we invite you to join us on the eve of her departure to say "Bon Voyage."
Come meet aviator, adventurer and inspirational speaker Tracey Curtis-Taylor. Listen to stories of her many adventures. Doors open at 6 P.M.
