2016 Human Service Summit
Over the past year, UCS has focused on action strategies to reduce poverty in Johnson County. Partners across the human service sector came together to create opportunity for low-income individuals and families in the areas of employment, education, and the safety net.
The 2016 Summit examines what has been accomplished in the past 12 months and future plans to address poverty. After learning about local organizations responses to last years Call to Action, local experts will share future job growth and availability projections for Johnson County and the region. Summit attendees will discuss what characteristics of jobs are most important to their clients and how our community can increase access to good jobs. The discussion will inform how our community can improve local residents ability to stably sustain their households.
