Urban Farm Tours offers the public an opportunity to visit private home-scale gardens and see what established urban farmers are up to and what us possible on a lot standard to the area.
Our tour of sites in Vallejo & Benicia offers a foray into the suburban wilderness and features sites ranging from a permaculture food forest to a mini livestock operation. You'll see water wise gardening, edible landscaping, bees, rabbits, chickens, goats, pollinator habitat, greywater and rainwater catchment, intergenerational gardening and even some cows! Ask questions, get advice and sample some of the bounty these farms are producing.
Your ticket includes a tour or our staging area and 4 other sites, plus morning hospitality. Bring your own bag lunch or purchase one (TBA info coming).
Itineraries will be available for you at will call the morning of the event. Once you have your itinerary you will drive yourself to the various sites. For those who wish it, we'll try to arrange carpooling onsite by group the day of.
The box office at our staging area will be open 9am-10:30 and 12 noon-1:30. We Please arrive at the staging area by 9:30 for full day and morning only passes, and between 12 & 1pm for half day afternoon passes.
