The Global Grip of Soccer: The Sports Salon with Art Thiel and Adrian Hanauer
For more than 25 years, Adrian Hanauer has been the principal driver behind the growth of soccer in the Seattle market. He helped found Seattle Sounders FCas a Major League Soccer expansion franchise in 2008, and now leads its ownership after a successful six-year term as general manager. The Sounders' average home attendance of 44,247 in 2015 was the second largest in the Americas.
Growing up in Seattle, Hanauer watched the North American Soccer League version of the Sounders and became hooked on The Beautiful Game. He is responsible for bringing teams of global renown to Seattle, and will talk about the international teams coming to CenturyLink Field in June competing in the Copa America Centenario: Haiti vs. Peru and Argentina vs. Bolivia.
Please join Hanauer and Art Thiel for an exclusive conversation that includes your questions and comments about the tournament, the Sounders, and the future of soccer.
