"Chairs:" Silver Kite's Intergenerational Theatre Company Performance
Silver Kite Community Arts is proud to present its original intergenerational theatre production of "Chairs" on May 20 & 21 at the George Center for Community (2212 NE 125th Street, Seattle).
Based on the life stories of the Intergenerational Theatre Company (ITC) members (ages 18 - 71), the performance explores the commonalities and differences among generations through music, movement, and drama.
The 5 men and women in Silver Kite's ITC each represent a different decade of life, bringing unique experiences and insights onto the stage.
ABOUT ITC
Silver Kite's intergenerational theatre company creates life changing performances which bridge generations and create deep connections with audiences.
Our theatre productions are original performances created by the members of our Intergenerational Theatre Company (ITC), using the company's life experiences and life stories as a source for the development of scenes, songs, and movement sequences.
Our first production, "A String," was created by an all-women cast (ages 16 - 72) in 2015. The show premiered at the George Center for Community in June 2015 and toured to area senior centers, assistant living communities, and hospitals.
Our second production, "Wheel," was developed by a cast of 7 men and women (ages 16 - 71) in February 2016. The show premiered at the George Center for Community and has been touring to area senior centers, retirement communities, theatres, and hospitals.
