Fuddy Meers
Warren Wilson Theatre presents David Lindsay Abaires Fuddy Meers. This final production of the Not Suitable for Children 20152016 season runs April 28 through the 30th at 7:30 p.m., with a 2:30 p.m. matinee on Sunday, May 1st, at Kittredge Theatre on the Warren Wilson College campus. Claire wakes up every morning with no memory, thanks to a rare form of psychogenic amnesia. Her husband greets her with coffee, explains the situation, and leaves her to read about her life while he heads off to his shower. Little does he know, a masked man with a lisp and a limp is awaiting the chance to inform Claire of the surprising news that her husband is a dangerous criminal who plans to kill her. She and the Limping Man flee, embarking on a bizarre journey through Claires history where they encounter a wild cast of unusual and eccentric characters and discover that absolutely nothing is what it appears to be. Directed by visiting artist Nathan Markiewicz, Fuddy Meers is an hilarious look at memory, trauma, communication, and family. All performances are open to the public.
