Solo Hogs Plays at Uncle Bo's
Black Friday Tax Day with The Incredible Solo Hogs. The Solohogs began playing in 1994 in Topeka. Founding members Michael Stratton (guitar) and Lew Spring (bass) began as an acoustic duo inspired by the likes of Ry Cooder and Taj Mahal. 1995 saw Les Goering (harmonica, guitar) and Mark Paquette (drums) join the band. They ramped up the electric gear and with the line-up complete they began playing regularly in the Midwest and built a following due to there brand of energetic blues and rock with strong harmony vocals. They continued as weekend warriors for twelve years and then split to pursue other projects but continued to re-unite for "special" shows. 20 years later the band is fully re-united and the energy is at its highest level ever! "When Pigs Fly" was recorded live at TPAC in 2001 and is the only recording to date but more projects are in the works. "We still get out the hollow bodies and return to our roots at every show." Come early, stay late, a great time is guaranteed!
