The Jar Family for Stroke North East
The Jar Family are five individual songwriters and musicians, who decided that, rather than strive for success in isolation, they would join forces to pool their talent and create their industrial folk sound. They will be donating their time and talent to help raise much-needed funds for Newcastle charity Stroke North East, who help rehabilitate local stroke survivors by running a minibus on weekly trips out. The trips are designed both for and by the individual service users in order that they receive the best service that the charity can provide. The gig will be the grand finale to the Stroke North East Spring Festival, which will be a full afternoon of food, music, beer and family fun at The Cumberland Arms. The daytime part of the festival will take place on the terrace and will be free to attend.
