NATIONAL YOUTH CHOIR - Presented by Spiritus Chamber Choir
Every two years, singers between the ages of 18 and 25 are auditioned across the country to form the National Youth Choir. Initiated in 1984, the choir has won critical acclaim across Canada since its inception. Some of the finest Canadian choral conductors have been invited to conduct the choir. The NYC has performed at all Podium, Choral Canada's national choral conference, since 1984 and also at the 1993 World Symposium on Choral Music in Vancouver. NYC concerts have been broadcast nationally on the CBC Stereo Network.
This year the NYC Tour will be taking place in Alberta, and Spiritus Chamber Choir is thrilled to be presenting the National Youth Choir on May 17th at Knox United Church!
Tickets are $25 for Adults, $20 for Students and Seniors, and Spiritus is offering special FREE ADMISSION to Children & Youth (younger than age 25) who reserve their tickets in advance through the Spiritus Chamber Choir phone number (403) 922-7021 or email at manager@spirituschamberchoir.ca.
