History Trails Walk With Petalumans of Yesteryear
This is an easy 8-10 block stroll through west side historic Petaluma, with stops at several of Petalumas beautiful historic buildings. They will include the McNear Bldg., the Wickersham Bldg., The Womans Club, the Petaluma City School Administration Bldg., and the Historical Library & Museum. At each of the stops a Petaluman of Yesteryear will meet the group and relay the history of that location.
Present in order of appearance on that day will be: Capt. Baylis Clara McNear John McNear Issac Wichersham Edward and Sarah Lippitt Brainerd Jones Addie Atwater Lyman Byce William Pepper
Refreshments will be served on the deck behind the museum at the conclusion of the walk.
The walk begins at the FOOT OF THE BALSHAW PEDESTRIAN BRIDGE (NOT at the museum); where Western Avenue meets the Petaluma River at the Water Street Bistro location at 1:00 pm. Please arrive 10 minutes early to check in.
