Erick Baker at The Spot on Kirk
Tennessee-native Erick Baker opened for John Legend in 2007. It was then he realized his Masters in English might take a back seat to his music career. Since he picked up his guitar as a college student in Knoxville, Baker has played over 1,000 shows, performed in front of crowds with more than 10,000 people, and toured on a bus with Rock and Roll Hall of Famers. He's also been able to share the stage with amazing artists like James Blunt, Gavin DeGraw, Marc Broussard, Edwin McCain, the Goo Goo Dolls, Grace Potter, Brandi Carlile and Heart.
Underground Music Reviews describes his self-taught musicianship and soul-touching lyrics as "intricately crafted, emotive Americana". Baker is also the host for the new PBS outdoor television show "Tennessee Uncharted".
