From a chef-relationship gone bad to major home remodeling to a marriage of convenience, the protagonist of RECIPE FOR DISASTER is going through all of the ups and downs and emotions the world can throw at her and we go along for the humorous and heart-felt ride. with the help of some delicious food and Gremmas life lessons, Anneke begins to realize that, just like a flawless recipe, shes been waiting for the right ingredients to cook up a perfect life all along
And best of all, it all takes place in current, gentrifying Logan Square where our DAMES WHO READ evening will be led by author Stacey Ballis, who will take us through the streets where the action happens, with stops at some of the mentioned locales while sharing stories of her writing inspirations.
