Winter Jewish Music Concert Presents Alan Mason 25th Anniversary Concert
On Saturday evening, May 7, 2016, at 8:00 p.m., the Winter Jewish Music Concert and Temple Israel of Greater Miami will present a concert honoring Winter Jewish Music Concert Artistic Director Alan Mason for his 25 years of service to Temple Israel and the larger Jewish community.
The concert will feature dozens of singers of Jewish music from around South Florida.
A very special guest will be Karina Zilberman, the Director of Jewish Family Life & Culture at New Yorks 92nd Street Y and the creator of the famed Shababa program. The world famous Amernet String Quartet will also perform.
The evening will feature the world premiere of a special work of Jewish music commissioned in honor of Alan Mason. The composer is Michael Ochs, whose has had one of his compositions recorded by Josh Grobin and another which was named Song of the Year by the Gospel Music Association (Dove Award) and spent 14 weeks at the top of the gospel charts.
The memorable evening will end with a gala dessert reception.
