A superb show tonight featuring the exciting Vermont based group The Dupont Brothers and the brilliant composer / arranger Michael Chorney and his band Hollar General.

THE DUPONT PROTHERS
Two brothers reunite after years of geographical separation by a fortified collaboration in music. Sam and Zack DuPont are best friends, siblings and now co-conspirators in a shared passion that runs deep in their family. After a groundbreaking show at Nectar's in Burlington VT, it was clear that the next step was to merge the brothers writing styles and form one super-group to be known as The DuPont Brothers. This six-piece project features Zack's core band whom have spent the last three years fine-tuning their Folk-Rock-Americana sound. The band features Pat Melvin on upright and electric basses, Tim Sharbaugh on percussion and drums, Will Andrews on trumpet and Peter Krag on piano. Sam and Zack both write their own music, sing leads/harmonies and play electric/acoustic guitar together in the group.

MICHAEL CHORNEY AND HOLLAR GENERAL
Michael Chorney is a composer, guitarist, saxophonist, producer, sideman and band-leader. His own groups feature original music; Hollar General, viperHouse, the MC6, and Orchid each reflect different aspects of his writing. He may be best know as an arranger, especially for his work on the folk opera Hadestown (soon to open off Broadway in NYC) in collaboration with Anais Mitchell.
