A PORTION OF THE PROCEEDS FROM THESE PERFORMANCES WILL BENEFIT The MS Society (MS).
"Unemployed. Finally." is the story of a woman who tried on more than 30 jobs, in 30 years before finally doing what everyone said she couldn't. Heather Dowling is an actress and writer who has impersonated someone who wanted a "real job" since she was 14. She has finally surrendered to her passion for writing and performing. But now she has lots of dirt to dish about the odd-jobs and odd-balls she's encountered along the way. "Unemployed. Finally." premiered at the 2015 Hollywood Fringe Festival and won the Encore! Producers' Award. Out of 84 solo-shows at the festival, Dowling was honored to be one of only 5 performers nominated for Best Solo-Performance. "Unemployed. Finally." was then selected to be part of Cake Batter's Funny Women Festival 2015, Theatre Unleashed's 2016 Spotlight Series and Whitefire Theatre's 2016 Solofest - the largest solo-performance festival on the West Coast!
