Kat Parra Latin World Ensemble

Kat Parra is a jazz vocalist, composer, lyricist and arranger with an international perspective. Her style is strongly influenced by world music, especially from Latin America, Spain and the Middle East. She has created an engaging and unique repertoire with fresh and exciting new arrangements. She is as comfortable singing the American songbook as she is singing songs from across Latin America, the Caribbean and beyond. Kat sings fluently in English, Spanish, Portuguese and Ladino (Judeo-Espanyol). With this multi-lingual and multi-musical experience, Kat Parra is able to transport her audiences to an exciting and vibrant journey of world and latin music.

For this concert, Kat Parra Latin World Ensemble will be celebrating the release of their 5th CD, Songbook of the Américas. The CD pays tribute to women composers from both North, Central and South America as well as original music and lyrics penned by Parra. www.katparra.com
