Spring Kirtan Benefit - Gina Salá
Friends- Come let your heart bloom in beautiful community, music and chanting. The mind rests like a bee in the flower, and the bodies move! Singing and chanting these names and mantra is a way as to come together and let ourselves become ecstatic, hearts open as poppies, mind and bodies relaxed as Fools for Love on this April 1! No experience needed, come as you are, participate as you like. As usual, this kirtan is also a benefit.

A portion of this evening's proceeds will benefit the Little Stars School (http://littlestarsschool.org/) in Varanasi, India. Ive been there and seen the wonderful work of Asha and the others there. Little Stars School provides a free education for more than 900 children from underprivileged homes in Nagwa, Varanasi, India (where many children can not afford school). It is the only school of its kind in Varanasi providing quality education to children from poor families from pre-nursery thru 12th grade.
Ill be joined by a wonderful band, including Anil Prasad, Steve Grant, and others (including you if you join in)! Jai Radhe Shyam!
Gina Salá has been chanting since her early childhood ashram years. Her repertoire spans 23 languages and performance credits include Cirque du Soleil, the United Nations, yoga festivals and more. With warmth, humor and devotion, she offers Indian classical singing, sanskrit, stories and sound tantra
in classes, cds, kirtans, retreats and her year-long Awakening Voice Sound School, which begins in late April.
