Reaching for the Stars FINALS!
After five weeks of intense competition, our six finalists will be put to the test to see who will be the FIRST EVER winner of Reaching for the Stars, winning $500, a recording at Q-Division, and an exclusive performance at the Arts at the Armory Cafe.
Audience participation will be KEY in this live-televised performance by Somerville Community Access Television, so don't wait to buy your tickets!
Arts at the Armory and Gordon Michaels are proud to present the 2012 Reaching for the Stars competition! This high-intensity, serious performance series will take place over 4 weeks of auditions (25 contestants per week) and will be followed by semi-finals (12 participants) and finals (6 participants).
Six amazing contestants were selected for the finals, performing in the gorgeous Performance Hall at Arts at the Armory.
Three winners will be selected, with the first place winner receiving $500.00 and a two song demo recording at a professional studio . The winner of the competition will also have the chance to perform a one hour concert at the Arts at the Armory Cafe. The second prize winner will receive $100.00 and two free 45 minute voice lessons with Gordon Michaels. Third prize will receive a gift certificate to the delicious Arts at the Armory Cafe. There will be a panel of three judges for this competition - Have you heard of Gordon Michaels, Jimmy Delponte and Holli Banks? Well get ready for them to judge you!
