Caribbean Cinema Nights
This month, were back at St. Stephen's Church in East Flatbush, for our community night film screening. Well be bringing you a beautifully made films. One, an intimate look at the life of a civil servant in Jamaica, diagnosed with ALS. The other, a look and the connection between a visitor to Trinidad and a mentally ill homeless man.

After being diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) at the age of 43 and rendered paralyzed and unable to speak, a Civil Technician is left by his family to the sole care of his wife to fight the aggressive, debilitating and degenerative disease for the remainder of the five years he has left to live.
DUBOIS by Kaz Ove Narrative Short Trinidad + Tobago, 2014
A young woman from London attempting to recover from the grief of the death of her husband, visits family in Trinidad and Tobago. There she finds herself strangely drawn to a mentally ill homeless man she sees wandering the streets, and he to her. A metaphysical, spiritual journey follows.
